Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Hershberger's practice is located in Brooklyn Heights and is convenient for most patients in the New York metropolitan area. He sees psychotherapy, psychopharmacology and psychoanalytic patients, ages 16 and up, and also provides forensic evaluations and consultations. Evening hours are available.

A board certified forensic psychiatrist, he completed his adult psychiatric training at Harvard University as a graduate of the Massachusetts General and McLean Hospital psychiatric residency. Later, he completed a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at New York University .

Dr. Hershberger is the Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Long Island College Hospital. His department provides outpatient, inpatient, consultation and emergency services.
